- During the 1970s, J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. responded to
RFPs and NSPs for multi-family redevelopment in Atlanta. During the
savings and loan crisis of the 1980s and 1990s, Ed Ruddell, Jr. negotiated
the purchase of millions of dollars of bank-owned commercial and
residential real estate assets. J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. developed a
process for converting banks’ toxic assets into performing assets.
- During the1990s, J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. developed and
sold residential developments including Cavallon on the Creek and Laurel
Cove in Acworth.
- During the 2000s, J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. was
instrumental in assembling real estate incorporated into the Manget and
Frasier Park residential developments in Marietta.
- During the 2000s, J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. in
partnership with Ruddell Properties redefined Historic Downtown Acworth
through the purchase, total renovation, and leasing of ten (10) Main
Street commercial properties and twelve (12) historic homes. In addition,
J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. assisted in the creation of the Downtown
Development Authority leaseback program that was fundamental to the
revitalization of the key historic real estate in Historic Downtown
Acworth.
- Since 1971, J.Q. Hunter Realty, Inc. have
purchased, assembled, renovated, leased and currently land bank over 200
parcels incrementally changing the TAD and overly zone areas of Marietta
located “with the propensity for density”.
